While the Catalog is your master material library, Stock is what you actually have on hand. If a material has physical units in a warehouse or truck, it appears in your Stock.
Warehouses vs. Trucks
You can maintain stock in two types of locations:
Warehouses: Fixed locations with a physical address
Trucks: Mobile locations assigned to technicians or crews
What you can configure per material in a stock location
Replenishable toggle
Turn this on if you want the system to track this material for restocking. Turn it off for items you don't regularly replenish, they won't appear in reorder alerts.
You can do this from: Bulk Edit
Or from the three dots on the right of the material > Edit Availability:
Min/Max quantities
Minimum: When stock reaches this level, a replenishment alert is triggered.
Maximum: If stock exceeds this level, the material is flagged as overstock.
You can do this from Bulk Edit or from the three dots on the right of the material > Edit Availability.
On-hand quantity
The actual number of units currently in this location.
You can do this from Bulk Edit or from the three dots on the right of the material > Edit Availability.
Position
The physical location of the material: bin, aisle, level, shelf, etc. This helps your team find items faster during daily operations.
You can do this from Bulk Edit or from the three dots on the right of the material > Edit Availability.
Barcode
SureStock auto-generates a unique barcode for each material, but you can customize it at any time.
The same configuration options apply to consumables, tools, and kits within each location.
