➡️ Managing Deadstock & Replenishment Efficiently
Keeping your stock accurate means more than tracking quantities, it also means telling SureStock which materials should trigger a reorder alert and which shouldn't. Marking a material as non-replenishable ("deadstock") tells SureStock to stop generating low-stock alerts for it, even if it falls below its min threshold.
📌 Non-replenishable ≠ deleted. Marking a material as non-replenishable does not remove it from your catalog or stock. It's still there, still assignable to jobs, and still tracked, you just won't get alerts to reorder it.
Common reasons to mark a material as non-replenishable:
The material is discontinued or being phased out
You're intentionally running down remaining stock
The item was a one-off or special-order part not meant to be restocked

Go to Stock and select a location (warehouse or truck)
Find the material you want to update
Click the three dots (⋯) next to the material and choose Edit Availability
Uncheck the Replenishable material box
Click Save

⚠️ Important note: Even though the Capacitor 45/5 MFD is below its min, it won't trigger a replenishment alert, because it's marked as deadstock.
➡️ Bulk Editing Multiple Materials
To update several materials at once instead of one at a time:
Go to the desired location (warehouse or truck)
Click Bulk Edit Mode and select the materials you want to update
Uncheck Replenishable material to apply the change to all selected items at once
⚠️ Bulk edits affect every selected item at once. Double-check your selection before saving, it's easy to accidentally mark an active material as deadstock if the wrong item gets caught in a bulk selection.

Understanding how the replenishable flag fits into your broader reordering workflow: a material needs both a minimum quantity set and the Replenishable flag checked to generate a low-stock alert. Missing either one means it won't show up for reorder, regardless of how low the actual stock gets.

Check whether it's marked non-replenishable (deadstock). Materials flagged this way never trigger low-stock alerts, even if they fall below min. Also confirm it actually has a minimum quantity set, both conditions are required for an alert to fire.
"I bulk-edited a group of materials and accidentally marked an active item as deadstock."
Go back into Bulk Edit Mode, find the item, and re-check the Replenishable material box for it. Always double-check your selection before saving a bulk edit, it's easy to catch the wrong item in a large selection.
"I want to phase out an item without deleting its history."
Mark it as non-replenishable instead of deleting it. It stays in your catalog and stock, fully assignable and tracked, it just stops generating reorder alerts.
