📱 App Version: Technician Training

The Technician App allows you to handle tasks, inventory, and job requirements directly from your mobile device. Here's the lowdown on key features. 🔑

 

1. Quick Scan Widgets 📸

With the Quick Scan Widgets, you can scan barcodes without opening the app! Just tap the widget, and your camera will pop up to scan the barcode. Super quick and easy! 😎

2. Navigating the Technician Dashboard 🖥️

When you open the app, you’ll only see what you’ve been assigned:

  • Truck Locations 🚚
  • Warehouse Locations 🏠
  • Assigned Jobs 📋

On the top left, you’ll find options like:

  • Warehouses 🏢
  • Projects 📦
  • Print Queue 🖨️
  • Change Password 🔑

3. Key Features of the App

Truck & Job View 🚛

You’ll see your truck inventory and any assigned jobs. For example, if you’ve got three active jobs, you’ll see them here.

Quick Scan Button 🔍

The green scan button lets you quickly scan barcodes for materials. Just tap it, and your camera opens right up.

Replenishment (Material Requests) 🧰

If you need more materials, you can create a replenishment request. Just choose your materials from the catalog, set the quantity, and submit the request. Your admin will get notified and take care of it. 🔄

Track Material Usage 🛠️

You can track material usage by scanning materials and marking them as "used" or transferring them to a job.

Job Details & Material Management 📋

Scan materials and assign them to jobs, or update the cost to client when materials are used or transferred.

4. Scenarios for Material Requests & Usage 🔄

Here’s how you handle replenishment requests or update materials on a job:

  • Scenario 1: Scan Materials for a Job
    • Go to your Job View, scan the materials you're using, and mark them as "used."
  • Scenario 2: Add Materials to a Job
    • If you need more materials on-site, hit “Add Material,” choose the location (like your truck), and update the quantity.

5. Scanning Materials (Barcode Scanning) 📸

  • To scan materials and link them to a job, just tap the Quick Scan button. Your camera opens up, and you can scan the barcode right away. 📦
  • You can also add multiple materials to a list and transfer them in bulk to a job or location.

💻 Web Version: Technician Dashboard View

The Web Version of the Technician Dashboard offers more detailed views and advanced management of inventory and jobs.

1. Technician Dashboard 📊

The Technician Dashboard shows materials assigned to your truck, pending tasks, and critical materials that need your attention.

  • Widgets: Customize your dashboard by adding widgets that fit your role, like:
    • Critical Items (materials running low on stock).

2. Managing Inventory & Stock 📦

  • In the Stock Section, you can view all the materials on your truck and assigned locations.
  • You’ll see the min/max quantities, and if needed, you can print your price book to keep track of your materials. 🖨️

3. Replenishment & Material Requests 📲

  • You can view Replenishment Lists for materials that are below the minimum stock.
  • Create Replenishment Requests to have your admin restock materials or transfer them from another location. 🚚
  • Pick Lists: If you need materials from a different warehouse, you can create a pick list—basically, a shopping list for the warehouse. 🛒

4. Job Management 📝

  • In the Job Section, you can see all your active jobs and completed jobs.
  • Click on a job to see more details, and you can add materials if you didn’t do it while at the job site.

Tips & Extra Features 💡

  • Material Usage: Whether for a job or replenishment, always track the materials you’ve used or transferred in real-time.
  • Scanning: Use the barcode scanner to register materials quickly—whether directly from the materials themselves or from a printed price book.
