Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your Ply account. By requiring a second verification step when logging in, MFA helps keep your business and customer data safe—even if a password is compromised.
🚨 Why enable MFA?
- Enhanced Security: Even if your password is leaked, your account remains protected unless the second verification code is also entered.
- Prevents Unauthorized Access: Drastically reduces the risk of phishing and credential stuffing attacks.
- Compliance & Peace of Mind: Helps enforce security best practices across your team.
🧑💼 How to Enable MFA (Admin or Owner)
- Go to Settings > Manage Profile > Security

- Under Multi-Factor Authentication, click Enable MFA

- Follow the steps to connect an Authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy):
- Download and open the app
- Scan the QR code shown on screen
- Enter the 6-digit code generated

- Save your recovery codes in a secure location
- Confirm that you've saved the codes and finish setup
Once complete, you'll see that MFA is active on your profile.
🧑🤝🧑 Managing MFA Across Your Team
As an admin, go to Settings > Manage Users to see who has MFA enabled:
- You’ll see a new MFA column with a ✅ or ❌
- Click Enable MFA to send setup instructions to users who haven’t activated it yet
- Generate new recovery codes anytime if needed

🔑 Logging In with MFA
- Log in with your email and password
- You’ll be prompted to enter the 6-digit code from your Authenticator app
- Enter the code and you’re in!
