Adding Users to Ply

Adding new users to your Ply account

Expanding your team's access to Ply is simple, and since Ply doesn't charge per seat, you can add as many users as needed.

Understanding User Roles:

Ply offers four distinct levels of user permissions to suit various roles within your team:

  • Admin: Has full permissions to invite users, create and manage RFQs, accept or decline bids, manage suppliers, setup integrations, and access all settings.
  • Manager: Can create RFQs, manage bids, and has partial access to settings.
  • Member: Allowed to view lists of RFQs, bids, suppliers but does not have access to settings.
  • Tech: Typically has limited access tailored for field technicians.

Steps to Add a New User:

  1. Access Settings: Click on the 'Settings' option in your Ply dashboard.
  1. Manage Users: Inside settings, find and select the 'Manage Users' section.
  1. Invite Users: Click on the ‘Invite Users’ button to open the invitation dialogue.
  1. Enter User Email: Type in the email address of the person you want to invite.
  1. Select User Role: Choose the appropriate role from the dropdown menu – Admin, Manager, Member, or Tech, depending on the level of access you want the new user to have.
  1. Send Invitation: Click on ‘Invite User’. The user will receive an email with instructions on how to set up their Ply account.

After Invitation:

Once the invitation is sent, the new user will get an email prompting them to create their account. They'll need to follow the instructions in the email to gain access to Ply with the permissions you’ve assigned.
