Step 1 - Open the ServiceM8 connection in Ply
In Ply, go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations.
Open the Field Service Management tab and click Connect FSM.
Choose ServiceM8 from the list of available systems.
Step 2 - Get your ServiceM8 API key
On the left side of the screen, under the ServiceM8 logo, you'll see the steps to connect:
Log in to your ServiceM8 account.
Go to Settings → API Keys.
Create a new API key or copy an existing one.
Paste the API key into the field in Ply and select a warehouse.
Click Validate and connect to complete the integration.
Step 3 - Choose what Ply can access
On the right side, Ply will ask for a few permissions. It needs them to finish the connection with ServiceM8. They include access to Account, Vendor, Email, Staff, Customers, and Jobs. You can grant access to whatever you need.
💡 Good to know: Ply requests some permissions it doesn't map yet.
For example, under Staff you'll see things like Staff GPS Location and Staff Activity. Ply asks for these, but there's no place to track them in Ply for now. You'll still see them in ServiceM8.
Once you've picked your permissions, click Connect with ServiceM8.
Step 4 - Authorize Ply in ServiceM8
You'll be redirected to ServiceM8 to approve access for the API key. Click Allow.
Step 5 - Select your default location
Next, you'll be asked to select a default location. This is the Ply location where all your ServiceM8 materials will be brought in.
If you already have locations set up, pick one from the dropdown (for example, your main warehouse).
If you don't have one yet, create it right there with the Add Location button.
Then click Save and Finish.
✅ That's it! Ply is now connected to ServiceM8.
What's Next?
Once connected, you'll see new options in your integration settings:
Default Location
Jobs Sync
Price Book Sync
Webhook Subscriptions
These settings let you decide what gets sent from one platform to the other.
