Introducing Material Consumption Intelligence
Ply has just launched Material Consumption Intelligence, a powerful new feature that analyzes your historical material usage over a rolling 60-day period. The result: smarter stock recommendations, less waste, and optimized purchasing, all handled automatically.
How to Access Smart Min & Max Settings
Step 1: Navigate to Smart Min & Max Settings
Go to the Settings tab > Procurement > There you'll find a section called Smart Min & Max.
Click on it to get started.
Step 2: Choose Your Optimization Mode
Once inside, you'll have three options for managing your stock levels:
Automatic Adjustments: Let Ply update your Min & Max levels automatically based on AI recommendations.
Suggested Adjustments: Receive recommendations and manually approve or deny them for greater control.
Email Notifications: Set up email alerts to stay on top of updates and any required actions.
Smart Min & Max by Location
You can enable or disable AI tracking for each of your stock locations, including warehouses and trucks.
Click "Set Up Materials" to see which locations have AI tracking active. A robot icon next to a material indicates that AI is actively managing its Min & Max levels.
New Dashboard Insights
A new widget surfaces materials that need review for Min & Max settings. You can also view Min & Max changes directly in the activity feed for each item.
Why This Matters
With AI-powered inventory management, you no longer have to rely on static stock levels. This feature adapts dynamically to real-world material usage, so you always have the right amount on hand, without overordering or running out.
