Non-Replenishable Materials

Control which materials Ply automatically flags for reordering; and which ones you're intentionally running down or phasing out.

Managing Deadstock & Replenishing Materials Efficiently

Keeping track of your stock and replenishing materials is essential to smooth operations. With Ply, you can easily manage and update the replenishment status of your materials at any location. This helps keep your inventory accurate and allows you to plan ahead for any restocking needs.

➡️ Step-by-Step Guide for a Single Material:

  1. Navigate to the stock level and select a location (e.g., warehouse or truck).

  2. Find the material you want to mark as "No Replenishable".

  3. Click the three dots next to the material and choose "Edit Availability".

  4. In the edit window, simply uncheck the "Replenishable material" box.

Non-Replenishable ≠ deleted

Marking a material as non-replenishable does not remove it from your catalog or stock. It's still there, still assignable to jobs, and still tracked; you just won't get alerts to reorder it.

Replenishable Status in the Stock Table

You can see and manage each material's status directly from the stock list:
Here's the table in written format:

Material

Qty on Hand

Min / Max

Relenishable

AC Filter 16x25x1

3

Min 5 / Max 15

✅ Yes — triggers alert

Capacitor 45/5 MFD (old model)

2

Min 2 / Max 8

🔴 No — deadstock

Refrigerant R-22 (discontinued)

1

Min 1 / Max 4

🔴 No — deadstock

Contactor 30A 24V

4

Min 2 / Max 6

✅ Yes — triggers alert

⚠️ Important note: Even though the Capacitor 45/5 MFD is below its min, it won't trigger a replenishment alert; because it's marked as deadstock.

Bulk Editing: Edit Multiple Materials at Once

If you want to update several materials at the same time, the Bulk Edit Mode makes it easy! Here's how:

  1. Go to the desired location (warehouse/truck).

  2. Click on "Bulk Edit Mode" to select multiple materials.

  3. You can now uncheck the "Replenishable material" option for several items in bulk.

Bulk edits affect all selected items at once. Double-check your selection to make sure you're not accidentally marking active materials as deadstock.
