Tools vs. Materials: Return Behavior
Here's exactly how each one works.

Checking for Leftover Materials
Materials don't return automatically. Go to the closed job's Materials tab and check if any items still show there.
If they do, you'll need to manually select them and transfer them to a stock location.
Step-by-Step: Transferring Materials Back from Jobs to Stock
Go to the Jobs > Finished Jobs
Search and Open the job you are looking for
Select the materials you want to transfer.
Hit Transfer.
Set the quantity and the location, then save the changes.
After that, you're all set!
