Step-by-Step: Add Inventory from a Receipt
1️⃣ Log in as a Technician
- Open the Ply app and log in to your technician account.
2️⃣ Open the Location Where You Want to Add the Receipt
- Tap the location where you want the items to be added (for example, your Truck).
3️⃣ Go to Receipts
- Inside the location, scroll to the right on the top menu (Materials, Consumables, Tools, Kits, etc.) until you find Receipts.
- Tap Receipts.
4️⃣ Open the Scanner
- Tap Open Scanner.
5️⃣ Choose “Add items from receipt”
- Select Add items from receipt.
6️⃣ Upload the Receipt Photo
Choose one of the following:
- Take a Picture (to take a photo right now), or
- Photo Library (to upload a photo from your gallery)
Upload the receipt — and you’re done ✅
What happens next?
Your receipt will be sent for admin approval. Once an admin approves it, the items will reflect in the selected location’s inventory.
