Field Requests help your techs in the field communicate with your warehouse and back office quickly and efficiently, without the need for extra calls or texts. In this guide, you'll learn how to:
- Create a field request from mobile

With version 2, you now get:
- A cleaner web and mobile interface
- Status controls to prioritize and track requests
- Linked purchase orders for easier fulfillment
- Real-time material availability by location
🛠️ Creating a Field Request (Mobile)
- Open the Ply mobile app and tap the Field Requests tab at the top.

- Tap the ➕ icon to create a new request.
- Select a location.
- Choose a job if needed.
- Hit on Add Materials - Or Scan or search for materials and add the needed quantity.
- Set a priority, due date, and add notes.
- Tap Confirm to send it to the back office.
🖥️ Managing Requests (Web)
- Go to Stock > Field Requests in the web app.

- You’ll see a status filter at the top (e.g., Open, In Progress, Completed).
- Click any request to view details, edit due dates, change status, or delete it.
- Hover over Availability to check stock by location and decide whether to create a purchase order or picklist.
🧾 Creating a Purchase Order from a Field Request
- Open the field request.


- Select the items you want to order.

- Click Create Purchase Order.
- Fill in:
- Supplier
- Ship-to location
- Optional: add teammates to notifications
- Review and send the PO.
Once sent, it will show as “In Progress” and link back to the original request.
📦 Receiving & Reconciling Items
- After receiving the PO, go to the Purchase Orders tab.
- Change the PO status to Received.
- Click Reconcile, choose a location, and confirm.
- Go back to the Field Request and mark it as Received to complete it.
✅ Final Step
Once reconciled and marked as complete, the request will appear in the Completed tab in both the mobile and web apps.
