Printing Barcodes in SureStock

Step-by-step instructions for printing barcodes from the SureStock web app or mobile app.

➡️ Option 1: Print Barcodes from Your Computer (Web)

If you want to print from your computer, you can use any standard desktop printer that prints on A4 or Letter paper.

✅ No specific brand or model is required.

What you'll need:

  • Regular paper (works fine)

  • Adhesive label sheets (recommended if you want barcode stickers)

Recommended label paper: Avery label sheets (Letter format) (any label sheet paper will work).

Steps (Web):

  1. Go to Stock.

  2. Go to your Warehouse or Truck (wherever the materials you want to print barcodes for are located).

  3. Select the materials you want to print barcodes for.

  4. Click "Print & Export."

  5. Edit the fields you want to include in the labels.

Select type of paper: choose your label paper (e.g., "Premium Label Supply US Letter").

    Select template: choose the specific label size template (e.g., "PLS228 - 3" x 1"").

Included fields: pick which fields show up on the printed label. Available options include Name, Variation, Image, and Location Position, you can select as many as you need, they'll display as tags in the field..

  6. Enter your email to get the printable sheet in your inbox.

  7. Click Print Labels.

➡️ Option 2: Print Barcodes from Your Phone (Mobile)

If you want to print barcode labels directly from your phone, you'll need a mobile label printer.

Recommended mobile printers:

  • Brother PTP950NW (supports 24mm & 36mm labels)

  • Brother PTP910BT P-touch CUBE XP (supports 24mm & 36mm labels)

Both options support 24mm and 36mm labels. We recommend 36mm labels whenever possible, they're slightly larger and the barcode is easier to scan.

📌 Both printers can also be purchased through Ply's ecommerce site.

➡️ Important Note About Mobile Printers

Mobile printers only work through the SureStock mobile app (from your phone). They cannot be connected to a computer.

Steps (Mobile):

  1. Open the SureStock mobile app.

  2. Go to Stock.

  3. Select the materials you want to print barcodes for.

  4. Tap Print Barcodes.

➡️ Quick Tip: Desktop vs Mobile Printing

  • Printing from a computer → Use a desktop printer + A4/Letter paper.

  • Printing from a phone → Use a mobile label printer + 24mm/36mm label rolls.

➡️ Common Issues

"I connected my mobile label printer to my computer and it's not printing."
That's expected, mobile printers only work through the SureStock mobile app on your phone. They can't be connected to or used from a computer.

"My barcode is hard to scan after printing."
If you're using a mobile printer, switch to 36mm labels if you're currently on 24mm, they're slightly larger and easier to scan reliably.

"I didn't receive the printable sheet in my email."
Double-check the email address you entered before generating the sheet, and check your spam folder. If it's still missing after a few minutes, contact Support.
