Cause:
This error occurs when the HCP-Ply integration was originally connected using the credentials of a Housecall Pro user who has since been deactivated. Since the connection's access token is tied to that user's account, once the user is deactivated, the token stops working — blocking Ply from writing or syncing product data to HCP. This surfaces as a permissions error, even though the issue isn't related to your role or permissions in Ply or HCP.
How to fix it?:
Reconnect the HCP Integration
To resolve the issue, you'll need to reset the integration so it generates a new access token tied to an active HCP user:
Go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations
Click the three dots (⋯) next to the Connected button
Select Reset integration
Complete the authorization flow using an active Housecall Pro user account
