Linking Ply Locations to ServiceTitan

Ply lets you link your locations (warehouses and trucks) to their matching locations in ServiceTitan. Once a location is linked, Ply can pass the right details onto your invoices automatically, which keeps your materials, locations, and technicians lined up across both systems and helps your invoices post without errors.

Why link your locations

Linking a Ply location to its ServiceTitan counterpart does a few things behind the scenes:

  • It adds the location to the invoice item, so each material reflects where it came from.

  • It assigns the technician to the materials at the invoice level, so the tech who pulled the materials is tied to those line items.

That second piece matters for accounting: some integrations (like QuickBooks) won't let an invoice post if the materials don't have a technician assigned. Linking your locations makes sure that information is there, so jobs post smoothly from ServiceTitan to your accounting software.

How to link a location

  1. Go to your Warehouses or Fleet view in Ply.

  2. Click Link locations with ST in the top right.

  3. In the Link Location to Service Titan window, choose your Ply Location from the first dropdown.

  4. Choose the matching Service Titan Location from the second dropdown.

  5. Click Link Locations.

That's it. The two locations are now connected, and the location and technician details will flow onto your invoices automatically going forward.

Good to know

  • You can link both warehouses and trucks (fleet) to ServiceTitan locations.

  • This applies going forward, so it affects materials and invoices created after the locations are linked.

  • If an invoice won't post because there's no technician assigned to the materials, checking that the location is linked is usually the first thing to look at.
