Getting Started with SureStock

If you're logging into SureStock for the first time (or during your first few days), you'll notice a Get Started button on your Dashboard. This is your onboarding checklist, designed to help you set up your account step by step.

Each step includes a tutorial and a step-by-step guide so you can get up and running with confidence.

✅ Schedule your kickoff call as early as possible, even before finishing the rest of the checklist. Your customer success contact can help you sequence the remaining steps correctly for your specific setup, which can save you from redoing configuration later.

✅ Create your stock locations before adding materials to your catalog.

Materials need somewhere to "live" once they have stock, setting up your Warehouses and Trucks first makes the rest of onboarding go smoother.

✅ Don't skip downloading the mobile app, even if your team primarily uses desktop.

Field Requests, stock checks, and job material usage often depend on the mobile experience, it's worth getting comfortable with it from day one.

✅ Work through the checklist in order where possible.

The steps are sequenced deliberately,for example, business details and stock locations typically need to be in place before purchasing or catalog steps make sense.

"I can't find the Get Started checklist anymore."

This checklist is designed for your first few days on the platform and may become less prominent once your core setup steps are complete. If you still need to complete a step from it, reach out to support and we can point you to where that specific setup lives in your account.

"I scheduled my kickoff call, but haven't heard back yet."

Kickoff calls are typically coordinated by our Customer Success team shortly after scheduling. If it's been a while and you haven't received confirmation or next steps, reach out to support and we'll help track it down.

"I'm not sure which stock location type to create first."

If you're unsure whether to start with a Warehouse or a Truck, it generally depends on how your team currently operates — most businesses start with their main warehouse location, then add trucks as they assign stock to individual technicians.

Do I have to complete every step in the checklist before I can start using SureStock?

No, the checklist is a guide, not a gate. You can use most features before finishing every step, but completing it in order helps avoid rework later (e.g., adding materials before you've set up a stock location for them to live in).

Can I revisit the checklist later if I skip a step?

Yes, if you're not sure how to get back to a specific step, contact support and we can help you find it.
