Dead-Shelf Stock

Review and filter for 30, 60, 90-day dead-stock.

What is the Dead-Shelf Stock Report?

The Dead-Shelf Stock report in Ply helps you identify materials that have been sitting unused across your locations for extended periods of time, specifically 30, 60, and 90 days. It's a powerful tool for reducing inventory waste, freeing up van and warehouse space, and making smarter purchasing decisions.

How to Access

  • Go to the Reports section from the left-hand menu.

  • Select Dead-Shelf Stock.

What Information Does It Show?

Dead-Shelf Material Count by Date: A chart showing how many materials have been inactive over time, broken down by:

  • ๐ŸŸ  30 days - Materials with no activity in the last 30 days.

  • ๐Ÿ”ด 60 days - Materials with no activity in the last 60 days.

  • ๐Ÿ”ด 90 days - Materials with no activity in the last 90 days.

You can adjust the time period (e.g. Last week) to see trends over different ranges.

Total Materials donut chart: A visual breakdown of your dead-stock across all three thresholds.

Total Materials list: Broken down by location, each showing:

  • Number of dead-shelf items at 30 / 60 / 90 days

  • The ability to expand each location to see individual items

  • Item details including name, category, last update date, and current quantity

  • An Export as... button per location for targeted reporting

Location Detail view: Clicking on a location expands it to show a full list of inactive materials at that specific location, including:

  • Item name and item number

  • Category (e.g. Electrical, Pipe Fittings, Valves)

  • Last Update date - highlighted in red to draw attention to how long the item has been inactive

  • Current quantity on hand

  • A search bar to find specific materials within that location

Tip: The color-coded counters next to each location (๐ŸŸ  30 / ๐Ÿ”ด 60 / ๐Ÿ”ด 90) give you an instant snapshot of how much dead-stock is accumulating โ€” no need to drill in unless you want the details.
