Low Stock

Identify materials that have hit low stock and need replenishing.

What is the Low Stock Report?

The Low Stock report in Ply helps you stay ahead of inventory shortages by identifying materials and consumables that have reached low, minimum, or zero stock levels across your locations. It gives you a visual overview of stock trends and a detailed list of current amounts so you can take action before running out.


How to Access

  • Go to the Reports section from the left-hand menu.

  • Select Low Stock.

  • Choose between the Materials or Consumables tab depending on what you want to review.


What Information Does It Show?

The report is divided into two tabs:

Materials Tab

  • Low Stock Statistics β€” A chart showing stock levels over time, color-coded by status:

    • πŸ”΅ Max β€” Stock is at or above the maximum threshold.

    • βšͺ Normal β€” Stock is within the expected range.

    • 🟠 Min β€” Stock has reached the minimum threshold.

    • πŸ”΄ Zero β€” No stock remaining.

  • Current Amounts donut chart β€” A visual snapshot of how your materials are distributed across stock levels as of today.

  • Current Material Amounts β€” A detailed list showing each item, its location, category, and current quantity. You can filter by time period (e.g. Last week).

Consumables Tab

  • Current Consumables Amounts β€” A list of consumables showing item name, item number, location, and quantity. Items that have met their target quantity are highlighted with a checkmark.

Available Filters

  • Search by item name

  • Sort order (Newest First / Oldest First)

  • Additional filters (by location, category, etc.)

  • Export option (Export as PDF/ Excel)

Common Use Cases

  • Quickly identify which materials need to be reordered before they run out.

  • Monitor stock levels across multiple locations

  • Spot consumables that are running low and need restocking across different branches.

  • Use the statistics chart to identify recurring low-stock patterns over time.
