Location Comparison

Compare how you've been using materials across different locations.

What is Location Comparison?

Location Comparison is a report in Ply that lets you visualize and compare material movement and usage across different locations, such as technician vans, warehouses, or branches. It is ideal for identifying discrepancies, transfers, and consumption patterns by location.


How to Access

From the left-hand menu in Ply:

  • Go to the Reports section.

  • Select Location Comparison.


What Information Does It Show?

The report is divided into key sections:

  • Transferred: Materials moved between locations or to a job. Shows the item name, destination, the user who performed the action, and quantity.

  • Added: Materials added to a location, including the responsible user and quantity.

  • Reconciled: Materials that have been reconciled from POs at the location.

  • Deleted: Materials that were removed from a location. Shows the item name, the user who deleted it, and the quantity.

  • Each record includes the user who performed the action, enabling full traceability and auditing.


Available Filters

  • Date range

  • Search by item name

  • Sort order (Newest First / Oldest First)


Common Use Cases

  • Verify which materials left a technician's van for a specific job.

  • Audit transfers between vans when materials were used by a different technician than the one assigned.

  • Compare material consumption across different locations over a given period.

  • Identify who performed each movement for accountability and follow-up purposes.

Tip: Use the Export as... button to download the report and share it with your team or use it for inventory audits.
