Overview:
With this new release, Jobber users now have the ability to customize how job names from Jobber are displayed in Ply. This setting is highly flexible and lets you design the exact format you want to see for your jobs.
Creating Custom Job Name Templates
You can create custom job name templates to define how jobs appear in Ply when synced from Jobber. This allows you to include important job details in the name itself, like the job title, number, client name, status, or address in whatever order works best for your team.
How to set it up:
Go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations → Field Service Management (FSM) → Jobber
Scroll to Job name template
Click "Create a template for job's name"
Use the dropdown to choose which parts you want to include (e.g., Title, Job number, Client name)
Optionally, add a custom label for each part
Optional, click on the check box to Use a custom separator
You'll see a live preview of what the job name will look like
⚠️ The order in which you add the parts determines the final name format, so make sure it works for your workflow.
Once saved, all newly synced jobs from Jobber will follow the custom naming convention you set, making them easier to search, organize, and identify across Ply.
Notes
You can mix and match any of the available fields to design your job name format
You can choose the same divider (e.g.,
-or|) for consistency across all jobsOnce saved, all newly synced jobs from Jobber will follow the custom naming convention you set
👉 This feature gives you complete control over how your jobs are displayed, so you can make them clearer and more useful for your team.
