How to Create and Print a Pick List in Ply

Picklist - A tool in Ply's Stock module that manages the movement of materials, kits, and consumables between locations or to job sites.

How to Create a Pick List in Ply ?

Step 1: Navigate to Pick Lists

Go to Stock in the left sidebar, then click the Pick Lists tab at the top of the page.

Step 2: Start a New Pick List

Click the + Add Pick List card to open the creation dialog.

Step 3: Fill In Pick List Information (Step 1 of 2)

Complete the following fields:

  • Name – Give your pick list a descriptive name

  • From – Select the source warehouse/location

  • To – Select the destination (job site, warehouse, etc.)

  • Assign Employees (optional) – Assign the responsible team members

  • Request Date (optional) – Set a target fulfillment date

  • Notes (optional) – Add any relevant instructions

Click Next when done.

Step 4: Add Materials (Step 2 of 2)

You'll see three tabs — Materials, Kits, and Consumables — all sourced from your Tool Warehouse.

  1. Use the Search and add materials bar to find items

  2. Set the quantity, check the availability, select the serial number and add notes if necessary.

Step 5: Save the Pick List

Once all items are added, click Save and Add Pick List in the bottom-right corner. Your new pick list will appear on the board under the appropriate status column.


How to Generate a Picklist PDF and Print for Your Jobs

Step 1: Navigate to Stock Locations

Head over to Stock Locations in Ply and click on the Picklist tab. Here, you’ll find picklists ready to be assembled.

Step 2: Choose Your Picklist

Select a picklist that includes the materials needed for a specific job. This ensures everything is properly documented.

Step 3: Generate the Picklist PDF

Click on the Print Options in the upper-right corner and hit Generate Picklist. Ply will create a PDF containing all the details for efficient material handling.

Step 4: Review Your Picklist

Your PDF will include:

✔️ Job Name

✔️ Warehouse & Destination Details

✔️ List of Materials to Pick

✔️ Barcodes for Quick Scanning

✔️ Aisle Locations for easy retrieval

📄 Step 5: Print & Use the Picklist

Once generated, print the picklist and hand it over to your team. They can use it to pick materials quickly and accurately!
